Tips for kids going back to school.

Lots of kids are nervous about starting school or going back to school. The good news is there’s a lot we can do to make it easier and help them get ready for a new school year.

  1. Get a goodnights sleep

A school sleep routine is very important and takes some time to adapt to. Prior to school starting, get your child into the practice of going to bed earlier. Relaxing activities such as bath time and reading before bed can help your child relax.

  1. Routine

Creating a dependable routine is important for kids. Prepare the parts of the routine and practice them with your child. In the evening, this could include doing homework, playtime, brushing their teeth, having a bath, and reading before bed.

     3.Limit screen time

Back to school is the perfect chance to re-establish screen time limits. Why not have the whole family turn off devices in the evenings before bedtime? Choose a place where everybody can charge their devices overnight. Use an alarm clock instead of a cellphone to wake up in the mornings.

  1. Help them gain independence

Let your child get excited by school by allowing them to participate in the preparation. This could be such things as choosing and organizing school supplies and new clothes. Daily, appropriate tasks will help your child gain independence and confidence.
